Beyond a Website. Building a Smarter Construction Business.

ConstructionX is an Ontario-based custom home builder and construction management company, and an affiliated company of TESS Tech AI. As its work grew, it needed technology built around its own processes instead of forcing them into generic software.

Existing software covered parts of the work, but no single product matched everything ConstructionX had in mind. The starting point was a wish list: better tools for managing customers, trades, projects and estimates.

We turned that wish list into a custom technology project.

Alongside a redesigned website and digital brand, TESS Tech AI developed CXOS as a common starting point for the business. It is organized around four dedicated work areas: Sales CRM, Trades CRM, Project Management and Estimator, with applications at different stages of development.

The goal was straightforward: give ConstructionX tools shaped around its own operations, accessible from a more organized workspace, with the flexibility to keep improving them as the business evolves.

ConstructionX was managing new customer inquiries, construction estimates, contractor relationships and active projects. As its plans grew, it wanted a clearer way to bring those responsibilities together.

Rather than adding more disconnected software, the goal was a group of business tools built around how ConstructionX already operates.

That became the foundation for CXOS and the applications developed around it: start with the work, understand what the team needs, and shape the software to fit.

01 / Website & Brand

A New Look for a Growing Construction Company

ConstructionX wanted its online home to reflect the company it was building: professional, ambitious and able to explain a broad range of residential services clearly.

TESS Tech AI developed a modern website and a consistent visual identity across service pages, home-design content and educational resources. Navigation connects those areas so visitors can move from an initial idea to a service, a design or a conversation with the company.

The work gives ConstructionX a more organized way to explain what it offers, share design ideas and help prospective customers take the next step.

Your website should look and work like the business you're building.

02 / CXOS

CXOS — Bringing the Business Together

ConstructionX wanted one familiar place to begin the day, with its business tools organized around the responsibilities of its team.

TTA built a company-specific dashboard with four clearly named work areas: Sales CRM, Trades CRM, Project Management and Estimator. Each card explains its purpose and, when connected, opens the corresponding application.

The current local workspace opens Sales CRM, Trades CRM and Estimator. Project Management is marked Coming Soon: a planned space for project work.

This common starting point gives ConstructionX a consistent way to reach its tools while leaving room for the next parts of the system to take shape.

What if your team's most important tools were organized around the way your business actually works?

03 / Custom Estimating

Construction Estimates, Built Their Way

ConstructionX wanted an estimator that followed its own categories, project information and pricing process. A generic spreadsheet layout could only go so far.

TTA developed an estimate library, project intake and division worksheets with line items for quantities, costs and margins. The calculation logic rolls those entries into division totals and a master estimate, keeping the detail connected to the overall project.

The local application also includes saved drafts, estimate revisions, attached PDF plan sets and measurement tools. Estimate information feeds document preparation, including proposals and scopes of work, so the workflow carries through from the first inputs to the documents the team reviews.

For ConstructionX, that means an estimating process organized in familiar terms, with project details, calculations and revision history kept together.

Your estimating software should understand the way you price your work.

04 / Sales CRM

From First Inquiry to Next Step

ConstructionX wanted a clearer view of prospective customers: who had been in touch, where each conversation stood and what should happen next.

TTA developed a CRM interface around lead records, sales stages, priorities and follow-up information. Search and filters help the team find an inquiry, while the pipeline groups opportunities by stage and brings next actions into view.

The current CXOS version provides a read-only view of that information, including due and overdue follow-ups. It gives ConstructionX a common way to review its sales activity and see which conversations need attention.

Imagine a sales system designed around your actual customer journey.

05 / Trades CRM

The Right People. The Right Information.

ConstructionX works with trade contractors and suppliers across different specialties. It wanted more than a list of names: the team needed useful company and contact information in a format that matched those relationships.

TTA developed trade profiles with company details, contacts, categories, regions, notes and follow-up dates. Search and filters make it easier to narrow the directory and move into an individual profile without losing the wider picture.

The tool also tracks entered insurance and clearance dates and flags items that need attention. Together with activity records and import/export workflows, it gives ConstructionX a more consistent way to maintain the information behind its working relationships.

Keep your important business relationships organized in a system built for your team.

06 / AI-Assisted Projects

Turning Ideas Into Something You Can See

ConstructionX needed ways to communicate residential design ideas before there was a finished project to photograph. Describing an exterior, an interior or an overall direction is easier when people can see something concrete.

TTA used AI-assisted visual and content tools to create home concepts, room imagery and supporting marketing materials. Together they help explain design directions across the ConstructionX website.

These visual materials give the company a starting point for discussing style, comparing directions and explaining an idea. They are design concepts, with building plans and engineering requiring their own professional review.

Sometimes the first step toward a better solution is being able to see the idea clearly.

07 / Information Organization

Making Business Information Easier to Find and Use

As the ConstructionX technology project grew, so did the information behind it: company knowledge, project context, working files and decisions that needed to remain useful after the next conversation.

TTA helped organize that material with consistent naming, project context and a clearer separation between current working information and historical references. The aim was to make important knowledge easier to find and carry forward as the systems developed.

This work supports the software around it. A team can give a tool better context when its own information is organized and understandable, rather than scattered across unrelated files.

Your company's knowledge is valuable. It should be organized so your team can actually use it.

What This Means for Your Business

You Don't Need Every System.
You Need the Right Ones.

ConstructionX needed a set of tools designed around its operations. Your business might need something entirely different: an AI assistant, a custom CRM, a clearer operating system, or software that handles repetitive tasks.

The goal isn't to build more technology. It's to build what actually helps. We start with what your team needs, then agree on the right scope for your business.
